Reconstruction in Spokane, WA
Reconstruction in Spokane, WA, is the part of the job Zac and Chris do for Pure Restore once the drying is finished. They put back the drywall, floors, trim and paint, so you aren’t hunting for contractors after the fans are gone.
The remodel you didn’t plan
Nobody budgets for a new kitchen floor in October. Once water or smoke takes out a room, though, it has to be rebuilt, and this is where a lot of homeowners get stuck. The drying company packs up, and now you’re calling around for someone to hang drywall, someone to lay flooring and someone to paint.
We manage the rebuild ourselves, after water damage and fire and smoke damage alike. The people putting your walls back already know what’s behind them, because our team saw them open.
Help with the remodel you wanted but weren’t ready to have
Sometimes the timing works in your favor. If the walls are already open and the floor is already up, it can be a good time to make the change you’ve been putting off: a better layout, nicer flooring, the bathroom you’ve tolerated for years. Call it an emergency home make over.
Your claim covers what your policy covers. Anything past that is your choice and your cost, and we put the difference in writing before you decide. Zac, who works on our reconstruction crew, puts it this way: “We want to give you an upgrade.”
Estimates that hold
“Our estimates don’t change value by the end of the project. We stick to our insurance budget. We negotiate if anything comes up.” That’s Zac again, and it’s what we aim for on every rebuild.
Sometimes a wall opens up and shows something nobody could have seen, like rot under a subfloor. When that happens we stop, show you, and send your adjuster the photos before going further. More on how we help with the claim.
We leave it better than we found it
That’s the standard whether the job is one patched ceiling or a whole lower floor: texture that matches, paint that hides the patch, trim lined up at the corners, and the dust gone when we leave.
Questions worth asking any contractor
Ask us too. You should get a straight answer to every one.
- Is the estimate in writing, and does it line up with the insurance scope?
- What happens if you find something behind the wall?
- If I want an upgrade, how will I see what it costs me?
- Who do I call with a question, and how soon will I hear back?
- Will you walk the finished rooms with me before you call it done?
Craftsman houses and brand-new builds
Spokane has a lot of older craftsman homes with built-ins and trim profiles nobody stocks anymore. Matching them takes time, and we’d rather take it than leave a patch you notice every day. Newer houses bring a different puzzle: flooring that went out of production a few years after the build, and paint that has faded on the walls that didn’t get damaged. We tell you honestly when an exact match isn’t possible.

Rebuild questions
If you did the drying, do I have to use you for the rebuild?
You don’t. It’s your home and your choice of contractor. Keeping us on saves you explaining the job to someone new, but if you pick another company, we’ll hand over our photos and notes.
Can I upgrade while you’re rebuilding?
You can. We write up what the claim covers and what the upgrade adds, so you see your share in dollars before we order anything.
How long does reconstruction take?
A room of drywall and paint moves a lot faster than a kitchen that needs new flooring and finish work. Once the estimate is approved, we give you a schedule for your job and tell you right away if materials or approvals push it back.
We are here for you.
Whatever happened, call and talk to a real person. We'll tell you what we'd do next, whether we perform the work or not.
